I am working on what guitarists call Bach's Lute suites. It's difficicult to get the tempo right of suite number four's Prelude. Most guitarists make a show piece of it. Other play it very slow. But what ever tempo, the character of the prelude seems to be so different from the other parts of the suite. Bach wrote the score. The player chooses the instrument.
